Transfer news: Jan Vertonghen’s representative is hopeful of coming to an agreement with Ajax
Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen is closing in on a move to Tottenham as his agent is hopeful of reaching an agreement with the Dutch club.
The Belgium international has made no secret of his desire to join Spurs but the deal has been stalled due to a disagreement between the clubs over a transfer fee.
“We have a meeting with Ajax at the end of this morning to come to a solution,” representative Nakhli Mondial told De Telegraaf.
“There is some movement and we have the intention to come to an agreement.”
