Tottenham star Luka Modric hailed Croatia team-mate and Everton target Mario Mandzukic.

The forward has scored three goals at Euro 2012 and has caught the attention of Premier League scouts and the Wolfsburg man has impressed the Spurs playmaker.

“Mario [Mandzukic] is fantastic,” Modric said. “He is fast, explosive; the player which can score even from the most difficult situations.

“But it is important to provide him chances to score.”
