Brad Friedel is excited by the prospect of working with Andre Villas-Boas
Tottenham star Brad Friedel is relishing the new era at White Hart Lane under new head coach, Andre Villas-Boas.
The Portuguese boss wants to bring silverware to White Hart Lane and this sentiment has appealed to the American stopper.
“We want to try to win every trophy this season and as a player that’s the type of message that you want to hear from a coach,” Friedel said.
“The players are excited by the new era and we buy in to that philosophy.
“We hope we can improve on what we did last season and we weren’t that far off for a long spell.
“We have a great squad along with an exciting crop of hungry youngsters.
“You can’t just aim for a top-four finish, you have to believe you can win the title.”
Andre Villas-Boas thinks Tottenham may have succeeded in their final day push for Champions League football had referee Andre Marriner awarded Gareth Bale a penalty - rather than book him for diving.
