Gylfi Sigurdsson is delighted with the way his first few weeks as a Lilywhites player have gone
Tottenham new boy Gylfi Sigurdsson has been pleased with the progress he has made since signing for the north Londoners.
The Iceland international had been linked with Swansea and Liverpool before signing for Spurs and he believes he has settled in well.
“Off the pitch, the lads have been fantastic,” Sigurdsson said. “It’s been easy to join in and get used to being around them.
“Going away from England and being around them 24/7 has obviously helped that, especially for me and Jan [Vertonghen] coming into the group. We’ve all gelled well.
“Overall it’s been very good, we’ve trained a lot, got a lot of fitness work in and played three tough games.”
Andre Villas-Boas thinks Tottenham may have succeeded in their final day push for Champions League football had referee Andre Marriner awarded Gareth Bale a penalty - rather than book him for diving.
