Transfer news: Hugo Lloris, Julio Cesar and Hugo Lloris are all wanted by the north London giants
Maarten Stekelenburg’s agent, Rob Jansen, has claimed the Roma goalkeeper is on Tottenham’s shortlist.
Spurs have also expressed an interest in Inter Milan’s Julio Cesar and are rivalling Arsenal for Lyon stopper Hugo Lloris.
“Maarten is indeed one of the three goalkeepers on Tottenham’s shortlist,” Jansen stated to Voetbal International.
“He plays for a big club right now and is happy [at Roma]. However, Tottenham are a big club as well, and it has always been a dream for Maarten to play in the Premier League.”
The 29-year-old joined Roma from Ajax in the 2011, and has a contract with the Italian giants until 2015.
Andre Villas-Boas thinks Tottenham may have succeeded in their final day push for Champions League football had referee Andre Marriner awarded Gareth Bale a penalty - rather than book him for diving.
