Transfer news: Anderlecht are reluctant to lose Arsenal target Cheikhou Kouyate
Belgian side Anderlecht insist they have received no bids for Senegal midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, amid reports of interest from Arsenal.
The 22-year-old has starred for his country at the London 2012 Olympics, reportedly attracting the attention of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
But Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck says he is not interested in selling Kouyate, unless the club receive a considerable offer.
“There has been no bid for him,” Van Holsbeeck told Het Laatste Nieuws.
“We know some clubs have looked at him and he has been in the spotlight.”
“I don’t see anybody leaving, but if he leaves it would be for a lot of money,” Van Holsbeeck added.
Andre Villas-Boas thinks Tottenham may have succeeded in their final day push for Champions League football had referee Andre Marriner awarded Gareth Bale a penalty - rather than book him for diving.
