Swimming star brings home five golds and a bronze from Bratislava
Barking swimmer Craig Moate picked up five gold medals at the Slovakian Cup held in Bratislava over the weekend.
Out of eight races in total for Moate he won gold in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m freestyle events, whilst also taking the top prize in the 200m individual medley.
But the medals didn’t stop there for the 26-year-old, as he picked up a bronze in the 100m butterfly, whilst also finishing fourth and fifth in the 50m freestyle and butterfly respectively to complete a successful weekend for the swimmer.
Now Moate is looking forward to spending a week in Spain with the London disability swim team in a long course training camp, as he gears up for July’s National Swimming Championships in Sheffield and September’s World Championships in Italy.
Andre Villas-Boas thinks Tottenham may have succeeded in their final day push for Champions League football had referee Andre Marriner awarded Gareth Bale a penalty - rather than book him for diving.
