Jared Robinson scored Haringey’s seventh and final try in his last game for the club as the Rhinos halted West London’s winning start to the season and jumped into second place in the Herts/Middlesex Division Two table.

Dan Rycroft kicked an early penalty and Owain Luckwell, Tom Shirt, Gareth Kirk and Dan Thomas then touched down in the first half, while Shane Ede, Guillaume Rouxel and Kiwi Robinson crossed the whitewash after the interval – and Rycroft added three conversions in a 44-13 victory.

Club captain Amrit Derry said: “Jared has been a stalwart for the Rhinos since joining in the summer of 2013 and he was an instant hit amongst the lads for his dark sense of humour.

“He regularly attended training and played both home and away games - his performances in the back row have been strong and consistent.

“We’ve been lucky to have a player of his calibre at the club and he will be sorely missed. We’re hoping he contacts his friends back in New Zealand and sends a replacement!”

Haringey have now won three of their opening four games and lie five points behind leaders Thamesians, who inflicted their only defeat of the campaign at the start of the month.

Derry added: “I’m proud of the position we’re in and can only credit the lads for their desire and appetite to perform.

“We won’t be getting ahead of ourselves at such an early stage of the season, but if we continue in this vain come January we ought to still be in the top four.”

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.
