Southwark-born 22-year-old to represent Team GB at London 2012
Chelsea full-back Ryan Bertrand is looking to learn from Manchester United star Ryan Giggs at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The Southwark-born full-back had only made eight appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League, while GB men’s captain Giggs has played 638 top flight games for Manchester United and won a host of honours in a glittering career.
“I think his record speaks for itself,” Bertrand explained.
“He has been a fantastic player and servant to football.
“To come and be in the same team as him, hopefully I can learn a thing or two.”
Andre Villas-Boas thinks Tottenham may have succeeded in their final day push for Champions League football had referee Andre Marriner awarded Gareth Bale a penalty - rather than book him for diving.
