Australian fast bowler pulls out with back problem
Essex are searching for another overseas player for this season’s t20 competition after Peter Siddle was ruled out through injury.
The Australian picked up the back problem whilst playing for his country during their tour of the West Indies.
Siddle will be out for a month, ruling him out of this year’s tournament.
“We are very disappointed Peter can’t make it to Essex following his injury,” head coach paul Grayson said.
“We understand that when we sign any overseas player that there is a risk of an injury or international duty so we now have to look at other options with a plan b for another overseas bowler.”
Andre Villas-Boas thinks Tottenham may have succeeded in their final day push for Champions League football had referee Andre Marriner awarded Gareth Bale a penalty - rather than book him for diving.
