Kevin Pietersen is available for Surrey for tonight’s FriendsLife T20 clash against Hampshire tonight.

The England batsman will be available for all five games this week as the south Londoners look to gain revenge over the Royals, who beat them on Saturday.

Regular captain Rory Hamilton-Brown is unavailable on compassionate grounds, while Jade Dernbach is on England duty.

Chris Adams commented: “We were disappointed with our performance on Saturday but this evening gives us an immediate opportunity to get back into the habit of winning games.

“We are delighted to have Kevin Pietersen available to us. He is a world class performer and will give our batting an added dimension and his experience in this form of the game will be invaluable.

“We know we have to build momentum this week and that is why it is so important we get a victory this evening to get the week off to the best possible start”.

Squad: Gareth Batty (captain), Steven Davies, Jason Roy, Kevin Pietersen, Rory Burns, Zander de Bruyn, Matthew Spriegel, Zafar Ansari, Murali Kartik, Stuart Meaker, Chris Tremlett, Dirk Nannes.
