Radio and TV presenter Vanessa Feltz hands over the keys to a brand new minibus for Haringey special needs pupils, which she donated in memory of her late mother.
The Variety Club’s Sunshine Coach arrived at Muswell Hill Pupil Support Centre in Coppetts Road, Muswell Hill, last Thursday, where Ms Feltz and her family spent the afternoon meeting staff and pupils.
The 17-seater silver minibus replaces the well-used vehicle The Variety Club donated in 1997, and is the 5,000th coach given by the charity.
Heather Johnston, left, head of behaviour and alternative provision for Haringey Council, said the bus was essential for pupils at the three pupil support centres to access activities.
Ms Feltz said: “It is an honour to be associated with as prestigious an organisation as The Variety Club. It truly is a joy to lend my support and to see the difference the donation of a Sunshine Coach can make.”
