A group of sports massage students will be taking part in a charity massage event this Sunday (January 29) to raise fight against human trafficking.
Students at the North London School of Sports Massage (NLSSM) are offering massages in exchange for donations to the A21 Campaign, the first of a series of events.
The event will take place at Tottenham Town Hall in Town Hall Approach Road, South Tottenham.
Lamees Jawad, one of the students, said: “We would really encourage people to donate, whether or not they can make it to the school’s clinic location for a massage.”
The school is aiming to raise £1,000 for the A21 Campaign, which works to help survivors of trafficking.
“A21 has done so much for others, it’s time we did something for them,” added Lamees. “We’re hoping the local community will support us.”
Supporters can sponsor the group by visiting their online fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/Lamees-Jawad.
The board of governors at Nightingale Primary School has become the first in the UK to be forcibly removed to make way for Michael Gove’s controversial academy plans.
