Some boroughs might have got golden postboxes, but one Stroud Green resident was clearly keen to grab a bit of Olympic glory for Haringey.

A keen-eyed swimming fan has renamed Addington Road as Rebeca Adlington Road after the double bronze medalist, with the help of some sticky tape and a bit of cardboard.

Adam Jogee, who spotted the sign and took this snap, said: “I think it is great to see Haringey coming together behind a great games for London and the world.”
