A policeman injured in a shooting in Tottenham Hale was reportedly saved by his radio.
The Metropolitan Police Officer was shot in Ferry Lane, near to Tottenham Hale Station, at 6.15pm yesterday evening (August 5).
The bullet is understood to have hit his radio, saving him from more serious injury.
The wounded officer was taken to hospital and was reportedly discharged later the same evening.
A police spokeswoman confirmed he does not serve with Haringey Police.
Another man was also shot and killed in the shooting incident which followed a police operation.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission, the police’s independent watchdog body, is investigating.
A Tottenham man was part of an armed mob which stabbed an innocent man to death in a children’s playground at the height of a gang war, a court heard yesterday.
