Cllrs Alan Strickland and John Bevan attended a ceremony to jointly open Berland Court, a new 34-home affordable housing scheme, next to Northumberland Park station.

Tottenham Hotspur director Matthew Collecott was also there to emphasise the club’s commitment to local regeneration and to working in partnership with Newlon Housing Trust, the developers behind the scheme.

Berland Court will provide 22 affordable homes for local families nominated from Haringey’s waiting list, as well as 12 for local key workers. Unusually, it will also house a Spurs Shop, which will be open on Tottenham Hotspur’s match days.

Cllr Strickland, cabinet member for regeneration, said: “Providing high quality housing is a key aim for our regeneration plans in Tottenham, and Berland Court makes an important contribution to this.”
