There is less than 48 hours to go before a school of musically gifted Tottenham students make a bid for chart glory – but they need your help to reach the top spot.
Gladesmore Community School’s Everybody Dreams is released on Sunday, but can already be pre-ordered on iTunes.
Pupils hope the song – about why they are proud to live in Tottenham – will emulate the success of groups such as the Military Wives, who reached No 1 with their single earlier this year.
It has won huge support from a range of well-known faces, including from Ricky Gervais, Dave Stewart, boyband JLS, Tottenham MP David Lammy and London Mayor Boris Johnson.
Cllr Joe Goldberg was so impressed with the song he went out of his way to make it Haringey Council’s “on hold” music and urged everyone to download the single.
“The idea behind the song is brilliant and the song itself is absolutely fantastic, I love it. The students have been performing to thousands of people all over London in recent months from the Torch Relay event at Alexandra Palace to Hyde Park.
“They deserve to have a number one hit and be recognised nationally as the bona fide pop stars they are!”
