A singer who fronts an up-and-coming band is delighted with the imminent release of their second single which is now available for download across the world.
Kicking K, the signature track on the single from electro-rock outfit Junkstar is available for download and hit record shops this week.
Singer and guitarist J-C Connington, who lives on South View Road, Hornsey, said: “It feels amazing. After releasing our first single we wanted to continue and produce more music. It’s like a drug once you have had a taste for success you just want more”
Junkstar formed after the 27-year-old singer and songwriter placed an appeal for musicians on advertising website Gumtree where he received a response within days.
They have since toured the USA and Holland and performed alongside the likes of Kate Nash and indie sensations The Drums.
Mr Connington spoke of the band’s excitement while supporting such big name acts.
He said: “It was great to perform with such famous musicians, especially The Drums as they’re huge at the moment and have been on the front cover of NME, so the crowd there was amazing.”
