A rock’n’roll legend dropped by to delight crowds at St Martin of Porres RC primary school’s summer fair on Saturday, adding a touch of sparkle to the festivities.
The King, impersonated by James Pilgrim, filled the fair with the sound of old classics as punters made their way around the many other attractions. A talent show for pupils hosted by Elvis also provided plenty of entertainment.
Irene Tyrrell, headmistress at the school in Blake Road, Bounds Green, said: “It was a fantastic success and we’re so glad the weather held out for us.”
Funds raised from the fair will go towards improving the grounds of the school.
A Tottenham man was part of an armed mob which stabbed an innocent man to death in a children’s playground at the height of a gang war, a court heard yesterday.
