Detectives are appealing for information after a 59-year-old man was stabbed on his way home from a night out in Tottenham in a “random attack”.
Police were called at 1.44am today to the scene in Roslyn Road, and found the man suffering from multiple stab wounds.
He was taken to an east London hospital in a serious condition, but has since been discharged.
Investigating officer Det Con Matthew Lever said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack on a man coming back from a night socialising.
“Random attacks on the public of this nature are thankfully a rare occurrence and I would urge anyone who knows anything to contact me immediately.
“I would particularly like to speak to two youths seen leaving the scene in the direction of Braemar Road immediately after the incident.”
Detectives from Haringey CID are investigating, but no arrests have been made so far.
Anyone with information are asked to call officers on 0208 345 0831or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
A Tottenham man was part of an armed mob which stabbed an innocent man to death in a children’s playground at the height of a gang war, a court heard yesterday.
