A woman was sexually assaulted after she fell asleep on a night bus travelling through Haringey.

The 26-year-old woman got on the N29 at Trafalgar Square in the early hours of Thursday, April 19, and fell asleep.

She awoke at about 2.45am when the bus was in Green Lanes, near Finsbury Park, to find the man sitting next to her was sexually assaulting her.

The suspect is described as being a male, aged in his late 20’s, about 6ft tall, with short dark hair.

Police have now released this image of a man who is believed to have got on the bus a stop after the woman and got off at a stop at the junction of Green Lanes with Carlingford Road.

Anyone with information or that can identify the man pictured is asked to contact Det Con Francois Olwage of Haringey CID on 020 8345 0838 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
