A mysterious trail of blood down a Tottenham street led police to a cannabis farm.

The trail of blood was discovered in Hermitage Road on May 27, leading to one of the houses’ front doors.

Both the London Ambulance Service and police were called to the suspected assault, but could find no victim on the street.

However officers, who were called at about 2.55pm, followed the trail of blood down the road and gained entry into the house where it ended.

At the property they found a cannabis factory – which is understood to have already been harvested – but no sign of any injured person.

A 34-year-old man suffering stab wounds later attended a north London hospital.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident. They have been bailed to return to a police station later this month.
