A police sergeant walked free from court after being cleared of groping and sexually harassing a junior colleague while on duty in Haringey.
Demetrios Orros, 50, was accused of a campaign of sexual harassment against the colleague, including making lewd comments about her “nice breasts” and making unsuccessful attempts to kiss her.
After a trial at Southwark Crown Court, Sgt Orros was last week acquitted of three counts of sexual assault, which were alleged to have occured between January 2011 and July 2013.
The sergeant, part of the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, was accused of groping the woman in a police station kitchen in Harringay in 2011.
It was said Sgt Orros also ran his hand along her thigh in January 2013, and said he would “love to bite” her bottom while they were out on patrol together in Tottenham High Road.
