Jailed: Mohammed Abdalla

Haringey gang members who supplied crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis have been jailed for more than 40 years after a successful police operation.

The 31 men – who came from different gangs across the borough – were arrested in February and March this year.

The arrests followed a large anti-drug operation by Trident Central Gangs Unit and Haringey officers, which targeted prolific offenders and involved more than 250 officers from across the Metropolitan Police.

The members of The North London Somalian Gang, Albanian Young Guns, The Wood Green Mob and Ida Road Gang were all implicated in the illegal supply of Class A or Class B drugs – including crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis – as part of the evidence-gathering tactic of Operation Fadden.

Thanks to the weight of evidence, they all later pleaded guilty at court hearings at Wood Green Crown Court between March and July this year.

Mohammed Abdalla, 24, of no fixed abode, got the lengthiest sentence at 60 months after he admitted seven counts of supplying crack cocaine and heroin.

Other notable sentences included Andre Stampp, 20, of Cavendish Road, Stroud Green, who admitted eight counts of supplying crack cocaine and heroin and was sentenced to 27 months in prison, while Harun Fidhin, 24, of Woodlands Park Road, Tottenham, was jailed for 40 months after admitting nine counts of supplying crack cocaine and heroin.

Ibrahim Dualeh, 25, of Gladstone Avenue, Wood Green, was jailed for 22 months for two offences of supplying cannabis and one offence of supplying heroin.

Michael Gaynor, also 25, of Gaskell Road, Highgate, admitted 14 counts of supplying crack cocaine and heroin and was sentenced to 30 months behind bars.

Trident’s Det Chf Insp Tim Champion applauded the combined efforts which helped secure the convictions, while Det Sup Stephen Clayman – lead officer at Haringey’s Gang Crime Unit – added: “This joint operation between Haringey’s Gangs Unit and The Trident Central Gangs Unit has resulted in a significant number of our most prolific offenders involved in the supply of drugs and linked to street gangs being taken off our streets.

“We continue to police the areas of Turnpike Lane, Philip Lane and Wood Green using a range of tactics, such as intelligence-led stop and search and dispersal orders to ensure that the problem does not return and that the local community can go about their lawful business in safety.”
