Fortismere students helped keep the school at the top of the league table once more this year, with almost 40 per cent of all exams graded A* or A.

The school also matched its highest-ever results from 2009, with 70pc of grades being B or above. On top of that, nine students have gained Oxbridge places while seven are setting out on highly competitive medical courses, the school’s highest-ever numbers.
