Tributes have been paid to a Tottenham man who was stabbed to death in the street.

Lukey Maxwell, 22, was stabbed in the back in Northumberland Park in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police received a call just after midnight and found Lukey collapsed in the street having suffered what appeared to be a stab wound.

Officers treated the victim until the arrival of London Ambulance Service.

Despite the efforts by paramedics and London Air Ambulance medics to revive Lukey, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination gave his cause of death as a single stab wound to the back.

He later tweeted: “Praying for their loved one’s strength. RIP Lukey man. He always vouched for me.”

Last night police charged a 36-year-old man with his murder.
