Gang rob 100-year-old on bus

A 100-YEAR-OLD man was robbed by a gang of six in broad daylight as he travelled on a 41 bus.

The group - which was made up of four men and two women - surrounded the defenceless, elderly man and rifled through his pockets as the bus passed Turnpike Lane Tube station.

They snatched £30 from his pockets and then marched him off the bus before running off. Police say the man was left feeling "shaken and disorientated" by the experience.

The gang are described as black and between 25 and 30 years old.

The robbery took place on February 12, at 2pm. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Jeff Neighbour, of Haringey Police Robbery Squad, on 020 8345 0870 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
