LONDON Mayor Boris Johnson was spotted in Broad Lane, South Tottenham, after getting lost on his way to Walthamstow.

Mr Johnson was seen looking flummoxed and asking for help opposite the BP petrol station at about 4.30pm early last week.

"It was quite funny and it caused quite a stir," said photographer Paul McKenzie, of nearby Napier Road, who jumped out of his car to take this shot on his way home from work.

Boris was asking Mr McKenzie's friend for directions at the time, he said. Mr Johnson has pushed for better, safer cycling routes that link all parts of the capital.
